Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQ page is designed to light your way by providing answers to common questions you may have. Dive in and discover how I can best support you on your journey towards well-being and self-discovery. Let’s walk this path to wellness together.

Where do sessions take place?
I provide in-person therapy sessions in Manasquan, NJ, conveniently located on Route 35, for those living in Monmouth County, Ocean County, and surrounding areas that prefer in-person therapy sessions.
I provide online therapy services to all New Jersey residents (i.e., remote, telehealth, teletherapy) on a HIPAA secure platform. I have found those living with chronic pain and conditions prefer the convenience of online services in the comfort of their own home. This results in less stress by not having to drive to one more appointment, and your pain level won’t interfere with receiving online therapy services.
How long do therapy sessions typically last?
Individual counseling sessions are 50-minutes. If you prefer and benefit from longer sessions, 60-minute counseling sessions are also available.
How much do therapy sessions cost?
$175 for a 50-minute therapy session
$200 for a 60-minute therapy session
$200 for an Intake Session (60-minutes)
Are sessions covered by my insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, claims are submitted directly to your insurance company when a session payment is made through Thrizer, a HIPAA secure platform service.
You won’t have to submit superbills or handle the complexities of out-of-network claim filing. This is all handled automatically with end-to-end claim management support. All claims and payments are accessible in your account.
Do you take HSA/FSA cards?
Yes. Payment options include credit, debit, HSA, or FSA cards on a HIPAA secure payment platform.
What are my payment options?
Thrizer provides a few options for out-of-network payments once your deductible is met that include:
1) Rather than paying the full fee, you will only be charged what you owe for the session (including a 5% Thrizer service fee).
2) Pay in full and wait for your reimbursements (including a 1% Thrizer service fee).
There are no fees while you are working towards your deductible. Learn more about these options here.
If you prefer to submit your own claims, I am happy to provide you with a superbill.
How often will I need to come for counseling?
I provide weekly therapy sessions because frequency and consistency are important when working to make neuroplastic changes so you get the full benefit of treatment. Research also shows that weekly sessions provide greater therapy outcomes and less time in therapy overall. After completing therapy, you’ll have the freedom and autonomy to further integrate this work into your life, fostering lasting growth, healing, and well-being.
How long will it take to see improvement in my chronic pain or chronic conditions?
Everyone’s recovery is different. This can be due to several factors including stress physiology, psychosocial stressors, previous injuries, chronic stress, life event changes, adverse childhood experiences, and medical procedures.
The duration of time you have lived with chronic pain doesn’t determine a shorter or longer recovery. While some individuals may notice progress sooner than others, sustained neuroplastic healing and transformation often takes time and a commitment to yourself.
You have the capacity to heal, and I am here to compassionately support and guide you on your journey towards neuroplastic healing. I will also empower you to further integrate this work into your life.
How do I know if I have neuroplastic pain (i.e., PPD, TMS, brain-generated pain, centralized pain)?
A medical doctor will rule out any structural issues, disease, or normal MRI abnormalities.
What are common symptoms of PPD/TMS?
Common symptoms include fibromyalgia, back pain, neck pain, sciatic pain, TMJ, knee/hip/shoulder and other joint pain, pelvic pain, irritable bladder syndrome, interstitial cystitis, migraines, chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia, tinnitus, hyperacusis, IBS, eczema, chronic hives, long covid, anxiety, depression, and OCD.
Pain relief psychology treatment is focused on the connection between stress and chronic pain/conditions and is used once the patient is seen by a medical doctor to rule out a structural issue, infection, or disease.
